REMINDER - Pier Party on the Prom - 12th March

Why not - stroll along to the Pier on March 12th 2011

...................We are organising the programme to take this forward and the first big public consultation event will be on 12th March, aimed to be at the same time as our Party on the Prom. We are keen to get as many people involved in the consultation about the future design of the Pier. All ideas and thoughts are welcome......................

Our Party on the Prom is part of a nationwide event organised by the National Piers society (Party on the Pier) Unfortunately, because we don’t have a useable Pier we will hold ours on the Prom.

Winchelsea

Due to weather and other winter ills the Winchelsea walk didn't take place, so here are photos for when I recced it earlier - on a glorious, and warm, day. Members asked me to postpone it, so watch out for a future date.

Walk - Tuesday 22nd February - Winchelsea

This is basically a town walk, but will start off with a short country walk, so if it has been damp, maybe walking shoes and sticks (up to you).

If it is really pouring on the day is probably not worth the outing as there isn't an inside alternative.

Only eating place seems to be the pub, so hopefully will be fine enough to picnic. (The pub is lovely if you are prepared to splurge a little).

Did the recce today (8 Feb.) What a glorious day. Hope we have something similar on the 22nd.

The bus is the Wave 100, we will be on the bus that leaves the station at 15 past ten., bus stop F, arrives Pelham Place (BusStop U) about 5 minutes later. Go upstairs, you get a great view.

Bus home will probably be the one that leaves at 14.53

Winchelsea Walk - Tuesday 22nd February

Come hell or high water! Though I was going to recce it today, and desisted, because of the blowy, blustery day. The bus is the Wave 100, leaves the station at 15 past the hour (assuming we leave at 9 or 10) bus stop F, and picks up along the way.

So get it in your diary now.
