Tuesday June 24th–Speckled Wood

Meet at base of West Hill lift, in George Street, at 10.30.

We will ascend, and then walk to Ore.

Boots and sticks are recommended (the woods are quite steep in places).

The planned return journey is via Old London Road, but feel free to descend by bus, lift, or whatever takes your fancy.

Speckled Wood, a rare wild-woodland ghyll, is one of the few remaining green spaces in Ore.

Pett Level to Winchelsea

27th May–Pett Level to Winchelsea Beach

Originally it was in the opposite direction – but Winchelsea Beach is hopefully more pleasant for us to eat our lunch.

Remember to bring your lunch!
