Round trip, Rye / Playden, views from above and below ……..

A stroll of approximately 3 miles in and around Playden (near Rye) on Tuesday 24 March.

We plan to take the 344 bus departing Hastings Railway Station at 9:45, returning from Rye Railway Station at 14:28.  Please bring your lunch.  Strong shoes recommended for a small amount of off-pavement.

Rye Harbour to Winchelsea

February Walk

The February walk will take place on Tuesday the 24th from the Church at Rye Harbour, (at the monument for the the St Mary Stanford tragedy to Winchelsea Beach.

344 bus leaves from the Iceland bus stop at 10.45, (about 10.40 from the station.) arriving at Rye station about 11.35.  There will be a short comfort break before catching the 312 from Rye station for the short trip to Rye Harbour

It will be a walk of approximately 2 hours, (my pace), is firm underfoot all the way and there are a number of interesting/historical features along the way including some comfortable places where we may eat our lunch.

We will aim to catch the 2.40 bus from Rye Harbour back to hastings.

First Walk of 2015–to Bexhill on lovely day….

Hi Everybody and Happy New Year.

Our first our first walk this year will be a gentle stroll along the beach from Hastings to Bexhill.

We will meet at 11am at the Pier Hub.
