Stroll awhile in London? 9th and 10th June

212 gardens, 2 days, 1 ticket

If you could visit all those garden in 2 days (maybe there is a challenge for someone there!) it would cost you less than a farthing per garden.  That was the nearest coinage I could come up with, because we don't have anything to represent 0.05 (and that has been rounded up!)

Find all you need to know on this excellent site

oh yes, and if you are members of the National Trust it will be something like 0.025, as you get a 50% discount on your tickets.

Buying tickets is really easy and you get an amazing guidebook! Smile  Gardens include prisons, barges, private squares, Kensington Roof Gardens, traditional private squares, contemporary allotments and lots lots more!

So much to see, so little time to see it.  Don't delay, book today!

The Church in the Woods woods walk

Our faith was rewarded, there was enough blue sky for a pair of sailor's trousers and the Rector (almost worth the visit alone) once again opened the church for us, entertained us and made us hot drinks.  (Hope we didn't outwear our welcome.)

Found an interesting example of horizontal growth in its first manifestation (possibly dating from the 1987 storm)

Again, thanks to Misayo for contributing some of the photos.

St Mary In The Castle - PETITION

A petition to support Barbara Rogers' bid to retain the tenancy is available to sign at St Mary's Cafe, and also at the History House, 21 Courthouse Street.

There doesn't appear to be an online petition.

Closing date is 2PM on Thursday April 19th, when a SMIC-F representative will be available at the cafe.
