Hastings Pier - Letters PLEASE!

Pier campaigners pull out all the stops for lottery visit

CAMPAIGNERS fighting to restore Hastings Pier welcomed a team from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to town last week - but now they need you to help secure funding for its future.

Now the trust is calling on local people to write to Dame Jenny Abramsky, the chairman of the national Heritage Lottery Fund board which will make the final decision.

“The bigger her post bag is and the more noise we make the, more chance we will have of getting the money this year,” Mr Chapman said. [See post here to know that this approach can work!]

He urged people to send their letters to:

Winchelsea - let's try again- Tuesday 29th March

A slight shift in timetable - Tuesday 29th March, other details as before, except I will meet any other ramblers at Hastings Station, others may join us along the way. Hopefully this time it will happen!

The Military Canal is still on but the leader is recuperating and we are not yet sure when he will feel ready to undertake it.

The bus is the Wave 100, leaves the station at 15 past ten, bus stop F, arrives Pelham Place (BusStop U) about 5 minutes later. Go upstairs, you get a great view.

Bus home will probably be the one that leaves at 14.53
