February 28th - PLEASE NOTE.
At this time of year we tend to look at places where we can seek shelter, if necessary. So February's stroller event will be a trip to Lewes, by train.
Meet outside Town Hall (front entrance) at 9:30. This will give us time to buy group travel rail tickets, so don't be late if you hope to benefit!
This is a town walk with places to picnic; some of the places we visit may charge for entry, naturally you are not obliged to take advantage of this, but may like to be prepared, in case you wish to!

Stroll in London - Open Garden Squares Weekend 2012
LONDON Parks & Gardens Trust is delighted to announce that the National Trust will be supporting this year’s Open Garden Squares Weekend, which will take place throughout London immediately after the Diamond Jubilee (Saturday &: Sunday, June 9 & 10, 2012).
Around 200 communal gardens in 25 London Boroughs, many of which are not usually open to the public, will be taking part, ranging from the historic to the traditional through to roof gardens and allotments, private squares, guided tours, prisons, cycle rides, and other exciting events
Choose from over 200 gardens with one weekend ticket.

Sunday, July 22 - Hastings Pirate Day 2012
SCORES of buccaneers, scurvy sea dogs, privateers and wannabe Jack Sparrows are invited to descend on Hastings again for this year’s Pirate Day.
And it would be good to have people visit from all over the world, let's see if we can get a record for the most pirates from different countries!
